Beginning Febuary 5th, Galveston Island will host the 99th annual Mardi Gras Galveston.
Annually more than 250,000 people attend the festivities each year. The Galveston Police Department will have addition police officers working in the event areas to ensure the safety of event goers and property alike.
The Police mobile command post will be stationed at 2300 Postoffice.
