Person of Interest in Homicide Sought

Harold Norwood is Wanted on Felony Warrant


(Galveston, TX) January 30, 2013 – On January 26, 2013 the owner of Panaderia Navarro Bakery, Juan Navarro, was assaulted and his vehicle was stolen from his business located at 3801 Broadway. Mr. Navarro was rushed to UTMB, but at 8:00 PM that night he succumb to his injuries. The vehicle was located near the intersection of 37th and Ave M on January 27.

 During the course of the investigation it was determined that a person of interest in the homicide, Harold Norwood, had been in possession of Mr. Navarro’s vehicle following the assault.

 The Galveston Police Department has obtained a warrant for the arrest of Mr. Norwood for the offense of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. The warrant carries a bond of $250,000.
