Specialized Units

After graduating from probationary status (1 year) Police Officers may apply to be assigned to sevearl specialized divisions including:

• Galveston SWAT
• Galveston Marine Division / Dive Team
• Hostage Negotiation Team
• Special Response Group

Officers also recieve financial incentives for being assigned to specialized divisions
